Scorbolamid, Salicylamide, ascorbic acid and rutoside x 40 tablets

  • Three active substances – salicylamide, ascorbic acid and rutoside – are the composition of the medicinal product Scorbolamid. It is a drug that is worth reaching for to relieve such symptoms of a cold or flu as pain or fever.

Composition:
Active substances: salicylamide, ascorbic acid and rutoside. Other ingredients: potato starch, gelatin, talc, purified water (constituting the tablet core); sucrose, talc, gum arabic, quinoline yellow (E104), carnauba wax, purified water (constituting the coating).

Each tablet contains: salicylamide – 300mg, ascorbic acid – 100g, rutoside – 5mg.

Action:
The salicylamide contained in the drug is an ingredient with analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects. Rutoside, on the other hand, is designed to strengthen blood vessels and increase their elasticity. Its presence allows the vitamin to work longer, mainly because it protects it from oxidation. Ascorbic acid, or vitamin C, has a beneficial effect on the body, especially in states of infection and disease.

Application:
The medicinal product Scorbolamid is indicated for use in the treatment of pain and fever accompanying flu or colds, as well as for headaches or neuralgia.

Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. Protect from moisture and light. The drug contains quinoline yellow and sucrose. In the event that after taking acetylsalicylic acid (or other NSAIDs) such reactions as rash, angioedema, bronchospasm, rhinitis or shock occurred, caution should be exercised, as there is a risk of similar adverse reactions after taking Scorbolamid.

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Do not use in case of: asthma with nasal polyps, active gastric and/or duodenal ulcers, inflammatory conditions of the digestive tract, acid-base imbalance, blood disorders, genetically determined deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, kidney stones, hemochromatosis, sideroblastic anemia, excessive amount of uric acid in the blood or oxalates in the urine. Do not use in pregnant or breastfeeding women, and in children under 16 years of age.

Side effects:
While taking the drug, side effects may occur: intestinal and stomach disorders - nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, burning sensation behind the sternum, lack of appetite, diarrhea, irritation of the gastric and duodenal mucosa (erosions and ulcers), dry mouth; nervous system disorders - dizziness, drowsiness, headaches; skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders - facial redness, rash, excessive sweating.

Dosage:
Use according to the instructions on the leaflet or as directed by your doctor. Take orally, during a meal, can also be taken with a large amount of water or milk. Adults, children over 16 years of age: 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. It is recommended to use the medicine in the lowest effective doses for the shortest possible period of time.
