Coenzyme Q10, also called ubiquinone-10, is a substance produced by the body that is mainly produced in the liver. Because it has a similar structure to vitamin E, it is classified as a vitamin-like substance (vitaminoid).
Coenzyme Q10 is a key player in energy metabolism and important for our mitochondria, the power plants of the cells. Ubiquinol is involved in energy production in our cells. It is a coenzyme that occurs in every cell in our body. It is known that as people get older, they can no longer produce enough of it naturally.
This product does not contain all forms of Q10, but mainly ubiquinol, which is the completely reduced form of coenzyme Q10.
Ubiquinol is described as the active, reduced form of coenzyme Q10, which can be absorbed and used by the body more quickly than the oxidized form ubiquinone (*).
Increased bioavailability through patented particle technology
The spray has been designed with a specially developed, patented technology with increased bioavailability of active natural ingredients. NanoNatu technology is a nanoscale oil-in-water emulsion on a purely natural liposomal basis. This emulsion serves to maximize the bioavailability of the fat-soluble ubiquinol. Enriched with high-quality lecithin-containing phospholipids from sunflowers and with a high proportion of pure phosphatidylcholine, the absorption of ubiquinol is further improved.
In NatuGena Q10 Ubiquinol NanoSpray, the main ingredient is present in microscopically small droplets, which means that it is absorbed by the body 6.2 times better than conventional coenzyme Q10.
Due to sublingual absorption via the oral mucosa, coenzyme Q10 can be detected in the serum within a few minutes.
The natural nanotechnology means that the droplets of the ingredient ubiquinol are very finely emulsified in the liquid. Ubiquinol is so finely distributed in the spray that a droplet of ubiquinol is just a few nanometers in size. This small size ultimately ensures that the coenzyme Q10 can be absorbed directly through the oral mucosa, rather than in the intestine. This bypasses digestive juices, which break down most of the nutrients before they can be absorbed in the intestine. The nano-droplets are stabilized in the liquid (main ingredient glycerin, water) by natural lecithin. Without lecithin, the droplets would gradually regroup into larger drops when shaken.
A spray of 4.2 mg ubiquinol corresponds to 26.04 mg ubiquinol when prepared as a NanoNatu spray; the bioavailability factor is 6.2. With 8 sprays, you essentially take 208 mg per daily dose. To achieve the same desired effect, the NanoNatu technology means that only 1/6 of the active ingredient needs to be used.
