1 treatment patch with an area of ​​about 10 cm2 contains active substances: 25 mg of lidocaine and 25 mg of prilocaine and auxiliary substances: polyoxyethylene hydrogenated castor oil, carboxypolymethylene (Carbopol 974P), sodium hydroxide to obtain pH, purified water.

The local anesthesia is provided by the Emla healing patch. In the middle of the patch there is a white disc impregnated with an emulsion containing two active substances with local anesthetic, i.e. lidocaine and prilocaine. The use of emulsion allows to obtain appropriately high concentrations of therapeutic substances (oily phase) and penetration deep into the skin (water phase), which makes the eutectic mixture of locally active anesthetics (Emla) is very effective. The degree of anesthetic effect depends on the time of exposure to the active substances and the number of patches applied. If the patch is left on the skin for 1-2 hours, the anesthesia effect lasts for about 2 hours.

Emla A therapeutic patch recommended for use in local anesthesia prior to puncture associated with, e.g. with venous catheterization and vaccinations, before aesthetic medicine procedures, eg closing vessels and before surgical procedures within the skin, e.g. before laser treatments. Product for adults and children.

Additional information:
Keep out of reach of children at room temperature.

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the product. Do not use in patients with congenital or idiopathic methemoglobinemia. Do not use in children under three years of age, in pregnant women and breastfeeding women.

Usage:
Use the plaster as intended. Children from 3 to 12 months of age: stick the patch on the anesthetized area of ​​the skin. Leave for at least one hour, but not longer than 4 hours. For children up to 1 year of age, do not apply at the same time more than 2 patches. Children from 13 months to 5 years of age: stick the patch on the anesthetized area. The product should remain on the skin for at least one hour, but no longer than 5 hours. Children under 5 years of age should not use more than 10 patches at the same time. Children from 6 to 12 years of age: stick the patch, leave it on the skin for at least one hour, but not more than 5 hours. Children under 12 years of age should not use more than 20 patches at the same time. Adults: 1 patch or more should be applied to the anesthetized site.
