  • The medicine is a herbal medicine for the external treatment of muscle pain.
  • It is applied to:
    • Painful muscle tension in the shoulder-arm area and in the spine area.
    • A doctor should be consulted in the event of acute conditions associated, for example, with reddening, swelling or overheating of the joints, persistent joint problems or severe back pain that radiates into the arms and legs and/or is associated with neurological symptoms (e.g. numbness, tingling). will.

  • The following information applies unless your doctor has prescribed the medicine differently. Please follow the instructions for use, otherwise the preparation cannot work properly.
  • Unless otherwise prescribed, adults rub the ointment thinly into the affected areas up to 4 times a day.

 

  • duration of use
    • Do not use the ointment for more than 3 weeks. If you are unsure ask a doctor. A period of 14 days must be waited before re-application at the same application site. Please also note the information under the category "Patient information".
  • Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.

 

  • If you use more than you should:
    • In this case, even if no symptoms have appeared, please inform your doctor. This person can decide on any necessary measures. The listed side effects may occur more frequently.
      • Prolonged use at the same application site can damage sensory nerves.
      • If you find the heat effect on your skin too strong, you can remove excess ointment residue with skin cream or cooking oil.

  • In rare cases (affects 1 to 10 users in 10,000), hypersensitivity reactions (urticarial exanthema) can occur. They express themselves through the formation of wheals or blisters and itching. If side effects occur, please stop using the product and talk to your doctor. The reddening and development of heat up to a slight burning or stinging that occurs in most patients after application is an expression of the onset of the effect. However, if this reaction becomes too strong, the affected skin areas should be thoroughly cleaned of the applied medication using skin cream or neutral oil. In case of severe skin reactions, the application should be discontinued.

  • Interactions with other medicines:
    • Another drug should not be applied to the skin areas treated with the preparation at the same time, as the effect of this drug can be increased. If this preparation is used at the same time as taking certain muscle relaxants (Mydocalm), redness, itching and swelling can occur, which can spread over the whole body. Please note that interactions can also occur if the interval between the administration of the individual medicines is several hours. Therefore, ask your doctor if you want to use other means.

Contraindications

  • The medicine must not be used in the case of:
    • known hypersensitivity or allergy to cayenne pepper preparations or any of the other ingredients,
    • damaged skin, eg burns and injuries, inflammation or eczema

  • There are no adequate studies on the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation. Therefore, this medicine should not be used during this period.

  • Special precautions when using the drug
    • Cayenne pepper preparations, even in small amounts, irritate the mucous membranes very severely and cause a painful burning sensation. The medicine must therefore not get into the eyes, on the mucous membranes or open wounds.
    • Additional application of heat should be avoided during treatment with this preparation.
    • Areas of skin treated with the preparation should not be washed with warm water or exposed to the sun, as this can increase burning or stinging. Physical activity (sweating) also increases the heat effect.
    • After using the ointment, hands should be thoroughly cleaned.
    • If the drug gets into your eyes, you should see an ophthalmologist immediately. Thorough rinsing of the eye with plenty of cold water is recommended as an immediate measure.
    • Application in children
      • There are insufficient studies on the use of this medicine in children. It should therefore not be used in children and adolescents under the age of 18.
