Voltaren Emulgel 100g 1% voltaren diclofenac, lower back pain
- Voltaren Emulgel is used in the topical treatment: post-traumatic inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscle and joint pain (eg. Caused by sprains, contusions or nadwerężeń); back pain; reduced inflammation tissues.
Composition Voltaren Emulgel 1% voltaren diclofenac, lower back pain:
1 g of gel contains 10 mg of diclofenac sodium in the form of 11.6 mg of diclofenac diethylammonium salt.
Action Voltaren Emulgel 100g 1% voltaren diclofenac, lower back pain:
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, analgesic and antiedematous. The mechanism of action is inhibition of prostaglandin cyclooxygenase activity (inhibition of the synthesis of eicosanoids, decreasing the level of arachidonic acid in granulocytes). Applied topically to the skin it relieves pain, reduces swelling, reduces inflammation. Of absorption of diclofenac through the skin after application of formulation depends on the contact time with the skin gel, the size of the treatment site, as well as topical applications, the total dose and the degree of hydration of the skin. After topical application of 2.5 g of gel on the surface of 500 cm 2 , the amount of absorbed diclofenac corresponds to about 6% of the dose in tablet form. It shall be determined based on the amount of diclofenac total renal clearance.Occlusion carried out for 10 hours at about a 3-fold increase in the amount of diclofenac absorbed. The maximum concentration of diclofenac in the blood is about 100 times less than the concentration achieved after oral administration. 99.7% of the drug binds to plasma proteins, primarily albumin. It is metabolized in the liver, 2 phenolic metabolites are biologically active, but have much less activity compared to diclofenac. T 0.5 in the blood is 1-2 h. Diclofenac and its metabolites are primarily excreted in the urine.
Indications Voltaren Emulgel 100g 1% voltaren diclofenac, lower back pain:
Local treatment: post-traumatic inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints (eg. Caused by sprains, bruises or nadwerężeń); back pain; reduced inflammation of soft tissues (eg. tendonitis, tennis elbow); limited and mild forms of arthritis.
Contraindications :Hypersensitivity to diclofenac, propylene glycol or other ingredients. The drug is contraindicated in patients who after taking derivatives of aspirin or other NSAIDs has attacks of asthma, urticaria or acute rhinitis.
Precautions: Do not use on broken skin or a wound. Not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age
Pregnancy and lactation: In the first and second trimester of pregnancy only be used in duly justified cases. Do not apply to large areas of skin, or longer. Should not be used in the third trimester of pregnancy (due to the potential to inhibit the function of the uterus and / or premature closure of the ductus arteriosus). It is unlikely that diclofenac contained in the product was excreted in the milk of lactating mothers. Breast-feeding should not, however, apply the product on large areas of skin or for longer than a week.
Dosage Voltaren Emulgel 100g 1% voltaren diclofenac, lower back pain:
Apply topically to the skin 3-4 times a day, gently rubbing. The amount of gel should be adjusted to the size of intralesional. The duration of treatment depends on the indication and response to treatment. If you use the product without consulting a doctor, should not be used longer than 14 days.
