Active substance: diclofenac diethylammonium (Diclofenacum diethylammonium). 1 g of gel contains 23.2 mg of diclofenac diethylammonium and excipients: isopropyl alcohol, oleic alcohol, cocozylocaprylocaproate, liquid paraffin, macrogol, cetostearyl ether, carbomer, diethylamine, eucalyptus fragrance, purified water.

Diclofenac is an active ingredient from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The medicinal product Voltaren Max gel is intended for topical use in the treatment of e.g. post-traumatic inflammation of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints, as well as limited inflammation of soft tissues in people over 14 years of age. In addition, in people over 18 years of age, it can be used in the case of limited and mild forms of osteoarthritis. The Voltaren Max gel relieves pain, reduces inflammation and swelling that occur around the joints and muscles.
Application:
The medicinal product Voltaren Max gel is indicated for the local treatment of post-traumatic inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints (e.g. resulting from sprains, strains or contusions), back pain, limited tissue inflammation (e.g. tendinitis, tennis elbow, bursitis, periarticular inflammation) in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age, as well as for the local treatment of limited and mild forms of osteoarthritis in adults over 18 years of age.
Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. Care must be taken when the skin is damaged, there are open wounds or pimples. If you develop a rash after using this medicine, it should not be used further. Do not use in the mouth. Do not swallow. Avoid contact with the eyes (if the preparation gets into the eyes, rinse them thoroughly with clean water and consult a doctor). Can be used simultaneously with bandages or dressings normally used for sprains, but should not be applied underneath dressings that prevent air entry. Use in children and adolescents: the drug is contraindicated for adolescents and children under 14 years of age, in adolescents over 14 years of age. From the age of 18, it is not recommended to use the drug for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: the use of the drug in the third trimester is contraindicated, in the first and second trimester, the drug should be used only on the recommendation of a doctor, it is recommended to use the lowest possible dose, and the duration of therapy should be as short as possible. During breastfeeding, the drug can only be used as directed by a doctor, but due to the fact that diclofenac passes into breast milk in small amounts, special care should be taken, the gel cannot be applied to the breasts, large areas of the skin, and also for a long time. Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Do not use in the third trimester of pregnancy. Do not use in children under 14 years of age.
Side effects:
Some people may experience side effects while taking the drug. Some of the rare or very rare side effects may be serious. If any of the following symptoms occur, discontinue use and seek medical attention immediately: common - skin rash with blisters, hives; very rare - wheezing, shortness of breath or tightness in the chest (asthma), swelling of the face, lips, tongue or larynx. Other side effects (usually mild and transient): common - skin rash, itching, reddening or burning of the skin, dermatitis (including: contact dermatitis); very rarely - increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight (symptoms: sunburn with itching, swelling and blisters).
Dosage of diclofenac diethylammonium Voltaren Max gel:
Use as directed by your doctor or as directed on the leaflet. For external use only. Apply to the skin. Adults, adolescents over 14 years of age: use twice a day - morning and evening. Gently rub the appropriate amount of gel (the amount of the drug should be adjusted to the size of the affected area, usually a cherry or walnut-sized amount of the gel is sufficient) gently rub it into a swollen, sore spot. During application, a slight cooling effect is felt. Duration of analgesic effect: up to 12 hours. Wash hands thoroughly after application, unless they are the treated area. Duration of treatment: in the case of muscle and joint strain and tendinitis in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age: use no longer than 14 days; in the case of pain associated with osteoarthritis in adults (over 18 years of age): unless your doctor tells you otherwise, it should be used for no longer than 21 days. If pain and swelling persist after 7 days of treatment, or symptoms worsen, consult your doctor. Do not use more medicine than recommended, and also do not use it for a longer period than recommended.
