The following essential ingredients in Aptamil milk formula are summarized under Pronutra™:

• LCP Milupan® (long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids)
• Omega-3 fatty acid ALA
• GOS/FOS (patented fiber blend)
• Vitamins A, C and D

This composition supports the development of a strong immune system and contributes to the normal brain and nerve cell function of the baby. With Aptamil follow-on formula, your child's balanced and age-appropriate diet can therefore be continued even after breastfeeding.

Aptamil baby food: Instructions on preparation and composition

Aptamil 2 is suitable as sole milk food for babies from the age of 6 months and following breastfeeding or an initial formula. When preparing baby food, you should absolutely follow the instructions for use, because incorrect preparation can promote the growth of unwanted germs and, in the worst case, have health consequences for the baby. Make Aptamil fresh before each meal and never reuse leftovers.

Further information on preparation:

• Boil fresh drinking water and let it cool down to approx. 40 °C. Pour about 2/3 of the required amount of water into the bottle.
• Measure the required amount of powder precisely using the measuring spoon and wipe off the spoon on the scraper.
• Put the powder in the bottle, close it and shake vigorously. Then add the remaining amount of water and shake again.
• Open bottle and attach teat. Check the contents of the bottle for drinking temperature (approx. 37 °C).

Mix 14.6g milk powder (3 scoops) with 90ml boiled drinking water to get 100ml ready-to-drink food. From the 6th month you can feed your baby 1 to 2 bottle meals of 230ml ready-to-drink formula made from 210ml water and 7 scoops of Aptamil. For smaller drinking quantities, use the following dosage:

• 200ml ready-to-drink food: 180ml drinking water + 6 measuring spoons
• 170ml ready-to-drink food: 150ml drinking water + 5 measuring spoons
• 130ml ready-to-drink food: 120ml drinking water + 4 measuring spoons
• 100ml ready-to-drink food: 90ml drinking water + 3 measuring spoons
