Oral drops DropiCe is a medicinal product for use in infants and children. The active substance of the drug is ascorbic acid, i.e. vitamin C. The preparation is indicated for infant the prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency in the body.
Composition of DropiCe oral infant drops:
Active substance: ascorbic acid (Acidum ascorbicum). 1 ml of solution contains 100 mg of ascorbic acid and auxiliary substances: glycerol and purified water.
Action of DropiCe infant oral drops:
A drug for use in the prophylaxis and treatment of vitamin C deficiency. DropiCe oral drops is indicated when a balanced diet is not a sufficient solution. The drug contains ascorbic acid with the Q®-C mark, which guarantees the highest production standards and multi-stage vitamin quality testing. In addition, it ensures the safety of origin of the ingredients (Europe) and their careful selection. Vitamin C is an ingredient that participates in energy processes. It acts as a coenzyme of enzymes that take part in many metabolic pathways - the synthesis of collagen, carnitine and noradrenaline, alpha-amidation of peptides, in the metabolism of tyrosine, cholesterol and steroids. In addition, vitamin C has an antioxidant effect, by protecting lipids, DNA elements and proteins against the effects of harmful free radicals. It also facilitates the absorption of iron salts in the intestine, as it supports the reduction of iron (III) ions and the formation of chelates. The drug is dedicated to infants and children, and can also be used by adults.
Application:
DropiCe oral drops indicated for use in the prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency in a situation where the use of a balanced diet is insufficient. For use in infants, children and adults.
Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children, infant, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. It is recommended to consult a physician or pharmacist before using the drug. Caution should be exercised in the following cases: the presence of an enzymatic defect of red blood cells, e.g. deficiency of erythrocyte glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase - in such a situation, high doses of ascorbic acid (4g daily) should not be used; Severe or end-stage renal disease - high doses of ascorbic acid may contribute to the formation of urinary stones. The drug may interact with: antacids, especially if they contain aluminum, salicylates, defefoxamine, indinavir. High levels of ascorbic acid may affect the results of some laboratory tests. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: do not use during pregnancy without medical supervision. Ascorbic acid passes into the milk. Breastfeeding mothers should not exceed the doses recommended for use during this period. Use within 6 months after opening.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use in the case of kidney stones, increased uric acid levels (in a history), impaired iron storage, gastric ulcer disease.
Side effects:
Some people may experience side effects while taking the drug. Isolated cases of skin hypersensitivity and respiratory reactions have been reported. Symptoms such as headache, gastrointestinal disturbances (e.g. nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, indigestion) and polyuria have been observed - especially with high doses of ascorbic acid. In the case of long-term use of high doses of ascorbic acid, nephrolithiasis may occur.
Dosage of DropiCe infant oral drops:
Use the drug as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the leaflet. 1 ml is about 22 drops. Infants and children, infant under 3 years of age: use after consulting a doctor. Unless the doctor tells you otherwise, 5-8 drops a day are usually used in infants and children (from 28 days of age to the end of 23 months of age); in children from 24 months to the end of 11 years of age, 10 drops a day are used; in adolescents from 12 years of age and adults, 15-20 drops a day are used. In the event of an increased need for vitamin C, the recommended doses can be used twice a day. Administer the measured number of drops orally, in the case of infants and children, use a spoonful of milk, tea or fruit juice, or add to the bottle.
