- KiD-Vitum Vitamin K and D for infants is a preparation in the form of capsules, which complements the body's levels of vitamin K, a condition for proper blood clotting proteins and the formation of bone and calcium metabolism. It also provides vitamin D.
Composition:
1 capsule contains 25 mg of vitamin K1 and 400 IU of vitamin D3
Action:
The preparation is responsible for completing the body with vitamin K, which is known primarily from the fact that it participates in the process of blood clotting. In addition, it determines the normal process of bone formation of proteins and calcium metabolism.Maintaining adequate levels of vitamin K reduces the probability of occurrence in newborns and infants up to 3 months of age bleeding referred to as hemorrhagic disease of newborns. The product also complements the levels of vitamin D, which helps absorption of calcium and phosphorus from food and regulates the level of calcium in serum. A suitable level in the body prevents rickets, osteomalacia and osteoporosis, but also diabetes, cancer, autoimmune disorders and cardiovascular disorders.
Indications:
Use in neonates and infants from 2 weeks of age younger than 3 months of age in order to supplement vitamin K and D in the body.
Dosage:
For oral use. It is recommended to administer 1 kaps./24h.
