SEA–BAND ® acupressure band for children
The original SEA–BAND acupressure band is based on the teachings of Chinese medicine. The pressure exerted by the SEA–BAND acupressure band on the acupressure point Nei–Kuan is intended to prevent or relieve nausea caused by motion sickness. The original SEA–BAND acupressure band is not a medicine, but a medical product that works exclusively through acupressure, i.e. through pressure. Side effects or interactions are therefore not to be expected.
It is very easy to put the original SEA–BAND acupressure band on the Nei–Kuan point: you wear it like a bracelet on both wrists. There is a button on the inside of the band that exerts light pressure on the acupressure point. This pressure on the Nei–Kuan point can help prevent and relieve nausea caused by motion sickness.
Clinical studies and clinical trials have been carried out on the effectiveness of the original SEA–BAND acupressure band against nausea caused by motion sickness, with good results. It has been shown that nausea associated with motion sickness can be alleviated by acupressure.
It has been shown so far that the original SEA-BAND acupressure band should be put on before the start of the journey in order to be effective. The bands are washable and reusable.
The SEA-BAND acupressure band is worn on both wrists. The effect of the SEA-BAND acupressure band against nausea has also been proven by studies for the nausea that often occurs after operations, e.g. as a result of anesthesia. There are also studies on the effects of the SEA-BAND acupressure band in connection with chemotherapy-induced nausea, which show that acupressure can be effective against nausea. There are also studies that show positive effects against nausea in the first three months of pregnancy, thus demonstrating a therapy option that is based on purely physical effects.
