Vigalex Max 4000 x 60 tablets, cholecalciferol
A very high dose of cholecalciferol (100mcg) in Vigalex Max 4000 is intended for use in the prevention of vitamin D deficiency in obese adults. Vitamin D deficiency can lead to, for example, osteomalacia.
Composition of Vigalex Max 4000:
Active substance: cholecalciferol (Cholecalciferolum). One tablet contains 40 mg of cholecalciferol powder, which corresponds to 0.1 mg of cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) and excipients: microcrystalline cellulose (type 102), calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, gelatinized starch, maize, crospovidone (type A), sucrose, magnesium stearate, sodium ascorbate, medium chain saturated fatty acid triglycerides, colloidal anhydrous silica, all-rac-alpha-tocopherol.
Operation of Vigalex Max 4000:
The drug is intended for adults with obesity (body mass index - BMI> 30). The medicinal product Vigalex Max 4000 is recommended for the prophylaxis of vitamin D deficiencies and, at the same time, diseases that result from these deficiencies (e.g. osteomalacia, osteoporosis). Each tablet contains 100 mg of cholecalciferol, or vitamin D. Vitamin D is an essential component in the process of bone formation.
Application:
The medicinal product Vigalex Max 4000 is indicated for use in the prevention of vitamin D deficiency and in the prevention of conditions that result from vitamin D deficiency (including osteomalacia, osteoporosis). The drug is intended for adults with obesity (BMI> 30).
Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against the effects of moisture and light. Use under medical supervision in people who are already taking other preparations with vitamin D (additional doses of vitamin D can be taken only under the supervision of a doctor), in people with sarcoidosis, in people with impaired kidney function, in people who use cardiac glycosides or diuretics, in people taking vitamin D for a long time (it is necessary to control the concentration of calcium in the serum and urine, and to check the kidney function). Use during pregnancy and lactation: women should consult their physicians for dosing. During this period, do not use doses above 2000IU per day without consulting your doctor. The drug contains sodium - less than 1mmol (23mg) of sodium in the recommended dosage unit, that is, the preparation is considered "sodium-free". The drug contains sucrose, people with known intolerance to some sugars should discuss the possibility of using the drug with their doctor.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use in the case of hypercalcaemia and / or hypercalciuria. Do not use in the case of alleged hypoparathyroidism. Do not use in the case of nephrolithiasis and / or severe renal failure. Do not use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Side effects:
Side effects may occur during the use of the drug. They do not occur in everyone. Not known: gastrointestinal complaints - constipation, flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain or diarrhea; hypersensitivity reactions - itchy skin, rash or hives. Hypercalcaemia and hypercalciuria occur with prolonged use of high doses. Fatalities have been reported in individual cases.
Dosage of Vigalex Max 4000 tablets:
Use the drug as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the leaflet. Use orally, wash down the tablet with a sufficient amount of water. Prevention of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency in obese adults: usually 4000IU (one tablet) per day (in the months from October to April or throughout the year, if effective skin synthesis of vitamin D is not ensured in the summer months) . In people with renal insufficiency, do not use the drug without prior medical consultation. Do not use for a long time (longer than 3 months) without consulting a doctor. Do not use in doses higher than recommended.
