Indication :
  • Prevention of a vitamin B 12 deficiency in the event of years of malnutrition and malnutrition (e.g. through a strict vegetarian diet).
Dosage :
  • The following information applies unless your doctor has prescribed the medicine differently. Please adhere to the dosage instructions, otherwise the medicine cannot work properly!
  • How much and how often should you take the medicine?
    • 2 - 4 drops (corresponding to 0.1 - 0.2 ml) drops are taken daily (corresponding to 5 - 10 µg cyanocobalamin).

    • The drops are intended for long-term use. Please consult your doctor about this.

 

  • What should you do if the medicine is taken in too large quantities (intentional or accidental overdose)?
    • Poisoning or overdose symptoms are not known.

Contraindications :
  • When should you not take the medicine?
    • The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to cyanocobalamin or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.
Pregnancy and breast feeding period :
  • The recommended daily vitamin B 12 intake during pregnancy and breastfeeding is 4 µg.
  • Based on previous experience, higher intakes have no adverse effects on the unborn child.
  • Vitamin B 12 is excreted in breast milk.

  • Take special care when taking:
    • What needs to be taken into account for children and young people?
      • Only give the medicine to children and adolescents after consulting a doctor, as there is currently insufficient experience to make a general recommendation in this age group.
