vitamin D oil - for defenses and reduced risk of falls
The in Dr. Jacob's Vitamin D3 Oil forte, which contains vitamin D3, makes a scientifically proven contribution to the following normal body functions:

• Immune system
• Preservation of bones and teeth
• Preservation of muscles
• Support of normal cell division

In men and women over the age of 60, falls are a risk factor for fractures. An increased risk of falling in old age may be related to vitamin D supply. The daily intake of 800 IU vitamin D from all sources leads to a reduction in the risk of falls in connection with physical instability and muscle weakness from the age of 60 .

Not only vitamin D3 contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, but also vitamin K2. Both act synergistically and should best be taken in combination, e.g. B. in Dr. Jacob's Vitamin D3K2 oil.

When should you take high doses of vitamin D?
Thanks to convincing study results, vitamin D has gained in importance over the past decade. AloneThe German Nutrition Society (DGE) has quadrupled its recommended intake to 20 µg (800 IU) of vitamin D per day. The aim of the DGE is to achieve vitamin D values in the serum of over 50 nmol / l. For many experts, however, these numbers are not sufficient.

The Endocrine Society is one of the oldest and most important medical organizations in the world. It recommends adults with risk of vitamin D deficiency, the daily intake of 37.5 to 50 micrograms (1500-2000 IU) of vitamin D. The renowned US Physicians Society of geriatric medicine micrograms recommends people aged 70 years even daily 100 (4000 IU ) Consume vitamin D from all sources in order to achieve optimal vitamin D levels of ≥ 75 nmol / l.

With our diet we can only make a small contribution to our vitamin D supply. For the body's own production of vitamin D, we depend on sufficient solar radiation. However, this is insufficient, especially in the autumn and winter months. As a result, vitamin D levels that are too low in our latitudes are often diagnosed. For health reasons, therefore, higher vitamin D intake levels may be indicated.

Best teamwork: the ideal partners for vitamin D
Not only vitamin D3 contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, but also vitamin K2. Both work synergistically and should best be taken in combination (as in Dr. Jacob's Vitamin D3K2 oil). The calcium metabolism is closely related to magnesium and potassium. Magnesium supports the maintenance of normal bones and the normal function of nerves and muscles. Potassium contributes to the normal function of muscles and nervous system and to the maintenance of normal blood pressure. An undersupply of these minerals is common. Therefore, vitamins D3 and K2 should best be combined with the right minerals, as they are in Dr. Jacob's base powder are included.

Ideal from mid-life
Vitamin D is very important for our bones, muscles, the immune system and normal cell division. In the case of seniors, it even helps to avoid the risk of falling. Working together with Dr. Jacob's Vitamin K2 OIL and Dr. Jacob's base powder (with potassium, calcium and magnesium citrate).

Optimal care for the immune system
An undersupply of vitamin D is the rule in winter. During this time it can no longer be formed in the skin. But deficiencies also occur frequently in summer. The reasons: we don't spend enough time outdoors or at the wrong time of day. The darker the skin color, the longer the skin needs for the formation of vitamin D. This reduces the natural formation of the sun vitamin through the skin. Vitamin D supplementation counteracts this.

Risk factor vitamin D deficiency
The body's own production of vitamin D decreases with age. Falls are a risk factor for bone fractures, especially from the age of 60. The increased risk of falling in old age can be related to vitamin D supply, among other things. Vitamin K2 (all-trans MK-7) also fulfills central tasks in bone metabolism and, in conjunction with vitamin D, is particularly important for the maintenance of normal bones.
