Composition:
Active substance: Vitamin E; excipient: purified peanut oil.

1ml of drug (about 30 drops) contains 300mg of all-rac-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E). 1 drop of the drug contains about 10mg all-rac-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E).

Action:
Vitaminum E is a oral drops. Vitamin E has important functions in the body, including selenium, catalase, peroxide peroxidase, glutathione peroxidase, protects polyunsaturated fatty acids in cell membranes and other organelles from decomposition under the influence of free radicals. It stabilizes cell membranes and prevents hemolysis of erythrocytes. It can be a cofactor in some enzymatic systems and is involved in lipid metabolism, glycogenolysis and glucose oxidation. Vitamin E is beneficial for maintaining proper functioning of the nervous and muscular system.

Usage:
Vitaminum E (300mg / 1ml) Oral drops indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of vitamin E deficiency associated with abnormal nutrition or metabolic disorders including: hereditary lipid abnormalities: abetalipoproteinemia, malabsorption syndrome, cystic fibrosis; Also helpful in atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease and secondary prophylaxis, and other conditions caused by oxidative stress.

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug and in case of vitamin K deficiency.

Side effects:
Vitamin E can cause side effects. They usually occur in long-term use of very high doses. Undesirable effects include: fatigue, weakness, headache, intestinal disorders, rash.

Dosage:
Use as directed by your doctor, pharmacist or as directed in this leaflet. Take orally. Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, it is usual to use the following doses: Preventive measures in newborns, infants and children up to 6 years of age: 10mg (1 drop) per day; Preventive measures in children from 7 to 15 years of age: 20mg (2 drops), preventive for adolescents and adults: 30mg (3 drops) per day. Cystic fibrosis in newborns and infants up to 1 year of age: 50mg (5 drops) daily, cystic fibrosis in children over 1 year of age: 100mg (10 drops) daily, cystic fibrosis in adolescents and adults: 100-200mg (10- 20 drops) per day; Abetalipoproteinemia in children and adults: 50-100mg / kg body weight (5-10 drops / kg body weight) per day. Infants and children may be given an undiluted drug or drink.
