Vitamins, minerals, trace elements, coenzyme Q10, CAREIMMUN Basic Capsules. A healthy and balanced diet Dietary
supplements are viewed with increasing scrutiny since studies have been published which link the supplementation of individual micronutrients with an increased incidence of various diseases. At the same time, the recurring mantra states that a healthy and balanced diet more than covers the need for vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
Reality shows, however, that most people do not manage this healthy and sufficient diet and therefore consume too few vitamins, trace elements and minerals. Especially when everyday life is so exhausting that the body needs more of these important substances, but has less time and thought for a healthy, balanced diet.
Man is an adaptation artist Over the millennia, humans have adapted to a wide variety of habitats – from the bone-dry desert to the icy landscapes of the Arctic. This was possible because humans, as omnivores, can survive on both very meat-heavy and plant-rich foods. In Europe it has long been a survival advantage to be able to digest milk and milk products without problems, while in other parts of the world it was not of great importance and accordingly in these areas a high proportion of the population cannot break down the lactose contained in milk without problems.
The Mediterranean diet differs greatly from the traditional Japanese diet, but based on scientific results and the high average age, both diets are said to have a particularly high health advantage.
Diet recommendations - more confusion than help
Most countries now provide recommendations for a healthy and balanced diet in the form of a food pyramid or food circle. However, these recommendations differed significantly in some cases. Sometimes fruit and vegetables should make up the largest share, sometimes grain products. In addition, some foods are assigned to different groups and are therefore rated differently - nuts, for example. In Croatia, nuts are assigned to the sugar group, in Switzerland to the fat category, in Spain and England they are grouped together with meat, fish, beans and eggs in a protein group. Greece, on the other hand, recommends nuts along with olives and legumes in a separate group. Much more commonly consumed foods are also affected: beans,
Nutritional recommendations in Germany
The German Society for Nutrition (DGE) has now introduced a three-dimensional nutritional pyramid, which, however, does not provide any information about the daily recommended amounts. For this purpose, the nutrition circle must also be consulted.
