Symphytum benefits:
Symphytum species belongs to the Boraginaceae family and have been used for centuries for bone breakages, sprains and rheumatism, liver problems, gastritis, ulcers, skin problems, joint pain and contusions, wounds, gout, hematomas and thrombophlebitis.
ARNICA benefits:
Arnica is used topically for a wide range of conditions, including bruises, sprains, muscle aches, wound healing, superficial phlebitis, joint pain, inflammation from insect bites, and swelling from broken bones. More recent studies suggest it may also be helpful in the treatment of burns.

What is Arnica / Symphytum comp. and what is it used for?
Arnica / Symphytum comp. is an anthroposophic medicine for blunt injuries and joint diseases.
Areas of application
According to anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, the areas of application include: bruises, contusions, strains, sprains; broken bones; pain originating from the periosteum; chronic inflammatory and degenerative joint diseases.
What you need to know before you use Arnica / Symphytum comp. note?
Arnica / Symphytum comp. must not be applied
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to arnica, rosemary oil, sesame oil, any of the other ingredients or to daisy family.
- in infants and young children under 2 years of age (risk of laryngeal spasm)
Precautions for use
The application may only take place on intact skin. In the case of acute conditions associated with reddening, swelling or overheating of the joints, as well as persistent or periodically recurring symptoms, please consult a doctor.
Pregnancy and lactation
During pregnancy and lactation, the use of Arnica /Symphytum comp. Ointment can be made only after consulting a doctor.
Interactions with other medicinal products
None known. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using or have recently used any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Important information about certain components of Arnica / Symphytum comp.
Wool wax and wool wax alcohols can trigger localized skin reactions (contact dermatitis). Butylated hydroxytoluene (contained in wool wax alcohols) can cause localized skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis), irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.
How is Arnica / Symphytum comp. apply?
Apply Arnica / Symphytum comp. Always use exactly as your doctor has told you.
Please read all of this leaflet carefully before you start using this medicine because it contains important information for you. Keep the leaflet. You might want to read it again. This medicine has been prescribed for you personally and should therefore not be given to anyone else. If you have any further questions, please ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is:
Depending on the size of the affected body part, a thin strip of ointment 1 - 5 cm long is applied 1 - 3 times a day and rubbed into the skin or applied as an ointment bandage. For use as an ointment bandage, a piece of cloth or gauze as large as the area to be treated is thinly coated with Arnica / Symphytum comp. smeared with ointment; this is placed on the affected part of the body and secured with a cloth, for example. The ointment dressing should remain in place for one to several hours or overnight.

Arnica / Symphytum comp. Ointment should not be used for more than 6 weeks per year.
If you stop using Arnica / Symphytum comp. have forgotten:
Do not use a double dose to make up for the previous dose. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure about the use of this medicine.
What side effects are possible?
Like all medicines, Arnica / Symphytum comp. have side effects, but not everyone has them. When using arnica-containing preparations on the skin, allergic reactions in the form of itching and reddening of the skin with blistering (eczema) can occur, mostly as a result of pre-existing allergies or because of so-called cross-reactions in the event of hypersensitivity to other composite plants such as chrysanthemums. Frequent and prolonged use can promote the development of allergies to arnica. Sesame oil can rarely cause severe allergic reactions. Hypersensitivity reactions (including shortness of breath) can be triggered by rosemary oil in sensitized individuals. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist
What else is important?
Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the tube and carton.

Do not store above 30°C.

10g contain: Active ingredients: Aconitum napellus Ø 0.0375g / 0.176g ethanol. Extract from Arnica montana, Planta tota rec. (1:1.1) / Betulae folium, ethanol. Decoctum 20% [HAB,V. 12q, Ø with ethanol 30% (m/m)] 0.05 g / Mandragora, ethanol. Decoctum Ø 0.33g /1.25g ethanol. Decoctum from Symphytum officinale, Radix rec. (1:4.2) / Mandragora eradice siccata H 10% (HAB, V. 12d) 0.25g / Rosmarini aetheroleum 0.025g / Resina Laricis 0.125g. Ointment Base: Refined Sesame Oil, Wool Wax, Yellow Wax, Wool Wax Alcohols, Purified Water.
