Cereus or Cactus grandiflorus (now classified as Selenicereus grandifloras) is a folkloric medicine used as a heart tonic for blood pressure regulation and the management of the symptoms of congestive heart failure.
Viscum album medicinal uses:
Viscum album is used to treat fatigue, nervousness, insomnia, agitation, panic attacks and decreased immunity; also used in the treatment of cancers, hypertension and arthritis.
Rauwolfia serpentina medicinal uses:
Rauwolfia alkaloids belong to the general class of medicines called antihypertensives. They are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
Nitroglycerin medicinal uses:
Nitroglycerin is a vasodilatory drug used primarily to provide relief from anginal chest pain. It is currently FDA approved for the acute relief of an attack or acute prophylaxis of angina pectoris secondary to coronary artery disease.

When should you not use Homeo-ORT?
Homeo-ORT must not be taken if you have depression, stomach ulcers and known pheochromocytoma. Homeo-ORT should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding or by children and adolescents under 18 years of age. How much of Homeo-ORT tablets should you take and how often?
Unless otherwise prescribed: Adults take 1 tablet daily. If the symptoms improve, the frequency of intake should be reduced.
How long should you use Homeo-ORT?
Homeopathic medicines should also not be taken for long periods of time without medical advice. Failure to take or discontinue Homeo-ORT does not result in any undesirable consequences.
What should you do if Homeo-ORT has been used in too large quantities (overdose)?
When taking larger quantities (over 80 tablets at once) of the drug, people with milk sugar intolerance (lactose intolerance) may experience gastrointestinal problems or a laxative effect.

Interactions occur with digitalis glycosides, neuroleptics, barbiturates, levodopa and sympathicomimetics.
