Benign prostatic hyperplasia treatment, phytosterol, HARZOL hard capsules:

Man (n) does not talk about it! Almost every man in his life is confronted with the fact that the prostate (prostate gland), which is located below the bladder, grows with age and the urethra narrows. This phenomenon, also known as benign prostate enlargement (lat. benign prostatic hyperplasia, BHP), occurs in 50% of all men between the ages of 50 and 60 years. A change in the hormone balance with age is assumed to be the cause of this growth. This enlargement of the prostate initially causes minor problems with urination, which, however, increase if left untreated. A weakening stream of urine, delayed emptying of the bladder and frequent urge to urinate are the first signs of enlargement. This can be particularly annoying at night if it is no longer possible to sleep through the night due to the frequent urge to urinate. Regular urological examinations help to identify the disease at an early stage and rule out a malignant prostate disease. Drug therapy can offer great relief for symptoms in the early stages.

Herbal medicines are particularly suitable for this early stage, as they can alleviate the symptoms and are almost free of side effects. For many years, a plant active ingredient in particular has proven itself for gentle therapy. The drug Harzol® contains phytosterol (ß-sitosterone), a plant extract that originates from the South African medicinal plant Hypoxis rooperi and is obtained from the wood of Pinus and Picea species (pine and spruce). In clinical studies, the superiority of Harzol® compared to placebo was shown in a large group of patients with the onset of symptoms (stages I and II) of an enlarged prostate. The preparation can be taken over a longer period of time and alleviates the typical symptoms after a short time. Harzol® is manufactured in Germany. Ask your health insurance provider about reimbursement options.
