Effective help with bladder
infections Bladder infections are unpleasant: Typical symptoms include the constant need to urinate with small amounts of urine and a painful burning sensation Urination. If drinking a lot, special bladder and kidney teas, the anticonvulsant hot water bottle, a warm bath for the feet and other well-known home remedies do not help, a medicine is needed.

Aim of treatment with Acimol ®is to stop the bacteria from growing in the bladder. In addition to the therapeutic goal of inhibiting bacterial growth, Acimol ® is used to prevent the formation of new phosphate stones and to optimize the effectiveness of certain antibiotics.

Naturally effective
The active ingredient in Acimol ® is the body's own amino acid L-methionine. Their working principle is based on the strengthening of the natural acid protection of the bladder. E. coli bacteria are the most common cause of cystitis. The natural active principle of Acimol ® inhibits their growth. The result: the body can recover from a urinary tract infection more quickly. In addition to treating cystitis, Acimol ® is usedalso used to avoid the formation of new phosphate stones. In addition, the drug is used to optimize antibiotics with the optimum effect in acidic urine (pH 4 - 6).

RECOMMENDED USE:
Acimol ® is suitable for use in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age. The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with a large glass of water before meals. The recommended dose is normally 1-2 film-coated tablets 3 times a day, whereby it makes sense to start therapy with 2 tablets 3 times a day. In this way, urinary acidification is achieved more quickly. Higher doses should only be taken in special cases and after medical advice. Until an effect of Acimol ®occurs, up to 6 days can pass. The duration depends on the therapeutic necessity.

BLADDER INFLAMMATION
Via the urethra, intestinal bacteria enter the bladder and trigger cystitis there. The healthy bladder has a protective layer of acid to ward off bacteria, as the urine is usually slightly acidic. The Acimol ® active ingredient L-methionine, an endogenous amino acid, supports urinary acidification.

Prevention of
urinary stones urinary stones are small, solid deposits that form in the kidney pelvis. When urinary stones become detached from the renal pelvis and remain in the ureter, they cause discomfort. As the solubility of phosphates increases when the urine pH is below 6.5, acimol bends® effectively prevents regeneration through urinary acidification.

STRENGTHENING ANTIBIOTICS Acidifying
the urine can also optimize the effectiveness of certain antibiotics, including ampicillin, carbenicillin, nalidixic acid, and nitrofurans. These antibiotics develop their effectiveness in acidic urine, which is why the active ingredient L-methionine intensifies their effect by acidifying the urine.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
What causes bladder infections?
Bladder infections can have a variety of causes. These include hypothermia, daily diet, ingesting insufficient fluids and genital hygiene.

What do I use the enclosed test strips for?
In order to protect yourself against cystitis in the long term, a pH value lower than 6 makes sense. In this area, the most common pathogens causing bladder infections, the E. coli bacteria, are more difficult to multiply. The test strips are used to regularly check the urine pH value.

Can I take Acimol ® together with other medications?
When taking the following drugs, the use of Acimol ® must be coordinated with a doctor: antibiotics (ampicillin / amoxicillin, carbenicillin, sulfonamides, nitrofurantoin, nalidixic acid), L-dopa for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, methotrexate for autoimmune diseases or leukemia and agents for Treatment of high blood lipids (cholestyramine, nicotinic acid).

Can a methionine overdose occur?
Many foods contain methionine, the active ingredient in Acimol ® . Symptoms of an overdose have not yet occurred.
