Active ingredients:
Aminate-G
(Ethyl Lauroyl Arginate) is naturally derived from L-arginine (an amino acid) and lauric acid, which is also found in high concentrations in coconut oil, for example. Aminate-G has natural antibacterial properties.
BioShield System:
The BioShield System combines the protective properties of OTZ-10 and Liposhield HEV Melanin, thus protecting against parts of the visible light spectrum as well as infrared A radiation.
Glycosylase:
Glycosylases are liposomal forms of oxo-guanine glycosylase-1 (OGG-1), an enzyme involved in the formation of 8-oxo-guanine (8OG). 8OG is a molecule that is released in increased amounts by UV radiation and leads to DNA damage. The enzyme responsible for repairing this damage is oxo-guanine glycosylase (OGG-1). Glycosylases are liposomal forms of OGG-1 and are derived from the Arabidopsis thaliana plant.
Liposhield HEV Melanin:
is a synthetic melanin and part of the Heliocare 360° Bioshield System. It protects against the high-energy rays of visible light (400–500 nm) up to twice as well as natural melanin.
OTZ-10
(oxothiazolidine) is a pro-taurine and part of the Heliocare 360° Bioshield System. It protects against the harmful effects of infrared-A rays (780–1400 nm) and is a natural antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals and protects DNA from damage caused by reactive oxygen species.
Phytosphingosines:
are found in the outermost layer of the epidermis and are an important component of the skin barrier. An intact skin barrier is essential for adequate hydration and for successfully defending against pathogenic bacteria such as Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus aureus. Phytosphingosine also has anti-inflammatory properties.
PLE:
is a natural plant extract derived from the fern Polypodium leucotomos. PLE maintains dermal immune surveillance, protects skin tissue, neutralizes free radicals, and protects cellular DNA.
UVB/UVA filters:
provide broad-spectrum protection against UVB and UVA radiation through a combination of advanced physical and chemical filters. This covers 90% of the absorption spectrum between 290 and 400 nm, thus reaching a critical wavelength of 370 nm.
Application:
Apply evenly and generously to the face before sun exposure. Reapply after swimming or heavy sweating. Avoid midday sun. Do not expose children under three years of age to direct sunlight.
