Jojoba oil is extracted from the nuts of a woody shrub that grows in semi-deserts. It nourishes, maintains skin moisture and is almost odorless. Jojoba oil contains vitamins A and E and has a sun protection factor of 3-4.

Due to its waxy character, jojoba oil does not go rancid and is therefore characterized by a long shelf life. Its positive properties have made it an excellent (carrier) oil in cosmetics.
