What Aescuven® is and what it is used for
Herbal medicine for vein diseases.
Aescuven® is a herbal medicinal product for the treatment of symptoms associated with chronic venous insufficiency, which is characterized by swollen legs, varicose veins, a feeling of heaviness and tension, itching, tiredness and pain in the legs and calf cramps.
If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 28 days, contact your doctor.
How to take Aescuven®?
Always take Aescuven® exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
The recommended dose is 1 coated tablet of Aescuven® in the morning and evening and in more severe cases two coated tablets in the morning and evening.
The use in children and adolescents under the age of 18 is not intended due to the field of application.
Aescuven® coated tablets should be swallowed whole and with some liquid. In the case of stomach or intestinal problems, it is recommended to take it with meals.
It may be necessary to use Aescuven® for at least 4 weeks. If symptoms persist for more than 4 weeks, a doctor should be consulted.
Longer-term treatment is possible in consultation with the doctor, since Aescuven® is suitable for long-term treatment and treatment success may only then occur.
What Aescuven® contains:
The active substance is: horse chestnut seed dry extract. 1 coated tablet contains 105.0 - 141.0 mg horse chestnut seed dry extract (5-7:1), equivalent to 30 mg triterpene glycosides calculated as anhydrous β-aescin. Extraction agent: ethanol 50% (m/m).
The other AESCUVEN, varicose veins, chronic venous insufficiency ingredients are:
