Ambroxol composition
- The active substance is ambroxol hydrochloride. 5 ml of syrup contains 15 mg of his.
- The other ingredients are: benzoic acid (E 210), citric acid monohydrate, glycerin, sodium cyclamate, sodium hydroxide, sodium metabisulphite (E223), povidone, sorbitol (E420), purified water, flavor: raspberry essence.
Ambroxol Sandoz Do not use:
- If the increased sensitivity of ambroxol and (or) any other substance in the preparation;
Take special care with:
-if the medication should be used in children under 2 years of age;
-If you are impaired motor function and bronchial mucus secretion and larger;
-if renal impairment or severe hepatic disease. Then, the dose should be reduced and (or) less often;
-if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Ambroxol in combination with amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin and doxycycline, strengthens the effects of these antibiotics and improve their penetration into bronchial secretions.
Ambroxol Sandoz with food and drink
The product should be taken after meals and take with abundant fluid as it promotes mucus pour.
Contains sorbitol. If your doctor has told you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine
DOSAGE:
-Children aged 1 to 2 years. It should be taken 2 times a day for half a teaspoon dose (equivalent to 2.5 ml) of syrup.
-Children 2 to 6 years. It should be taken 3 times a day half a teaspoon dose (equivalent to 2.5 ml) of syrup.
-Children from 6 to 12 years. It should take 2 - 3 times a day for dispensing a teaspoon (equal to 5 ml) of syrup.
-Older than 12 years of age. The first 2 - 3 days should be taken two or three times a day for two dosing spoons (equivalent to 10 ml of syrup), then - 2 times a day for two dosing spoons (equivalent to 10 ml of syrup) or 3 times a day for dosing spoon (equivalent to 5 ml) of syrup.
Syrup be taken with food or immediately after a meal and take with abundant fluid as it promotes mucus pour.
The duration of treatment by a doctor. Usually it depends on the course of the illness.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:
Ambroxol Sandoz, as well as other medications can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Sometimes there gastrointestinal disorders (abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea). Can dry mouth and respiratory mucosa, appear saliva, dripping nose, difficulty in urinating.
Anaphylactic reactions, including anaphylactic shock (facial edema, dyspnea, pyrexia, chills), and other allergic reactions.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Once opened, use within 12months!
