- Analgesic ointment and warming ointment Hotlec is a medicinal product containing a composition of active substances that relieve pain locally. The drug contains, inter alia, methyl salicylate, turpentine oil and camphor.
Hotlec composition, analgesic and warming ointment:
Active substances: methyl salicylate, camphor, pine oil, turpentine oil. One gram of ointment contains: 100mg of methyl salicylate, 10mg of camphor, 5mg of pine oil, 5mg of turpentine oil and auxiliary substances: white petrolatum.
Hotlec action ointment and warming ointment:
The drug has a warming and analgesic effect for use in relieving pain, e.g. joints and muscles. Hotlec's painkiller and warming ointment contains in its composition methyl salicylate, which acts as an analgesic, as well as plant oils and camphor, which cause the effect of congestion and warming at the place of application.
Application:
Hotlec analgesic and warming ointment indicated for use as an aid in relieving pain (including neuralgia, joint and muscular pain, sciatica).
Additional information:
Keep the product out of reach of children at room temperature. People with impaired kidney or liver function should consult a doctor about the possibility of using the medicine. In case of contact with ointments with mucous membranes, it should be washed using warm water.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation. Do not use below 12 years of age. Do not use in women during pregnancy and lactation. Do not use on damaged skin, wounds and around the eyes and on mucous membranes. Do not use in people who have experienced attacks of asthma, rhinitis or urticaria with acetylsalicylic acid or NSAIDs.
Side effects: Adverse reactions
may occur when using ointments: skin irritation and hyperaemia, local pain, allergic reactions. People with hypersensitivity may experience asthma attacks or anaphylactic shock. If you have any side effects, stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor.
Dosage of Hotlec ointment:
Use as directed by your doctor or the instructions on the leaflet. Apply to the skin, rub in the place of pain. The recommended dose in adolescents over 12 years of age and in adults: 2-4g of ointment (3-5 cm band) should be applied 1-3 times a day. It is recommended to use the ointment especially at night. In the absence of improvement or severity of symptoms, it is recommended to consult a physician.
