Gynoxin cream is a drug with a broad spectrum of antifungal activity. The preparation is used vaginally in the local treatment of vulvovaginal fungal infections.
Composition of Antifungal cream, GYNOXIN vaginal cream 2% :
The active substance of Gynoxin is fenticonazole. 100 g of vaginal cream contains 2 g of fenticonazole nitrate (Fenticonazoli nitras). Excipients are: macrogol fatty acid esters (C12-C18), virgin almond oil, propylene glycol, cetyl alcohol, glycerol monostearate, hydrogenated lanolin, soda edetate and purified water.

Action:
Gynoxin is a derivative of imidazole with fungicidal and fungistatic activity. The spectrum of activity includes infections caused by: Candida spp., Trichophyton spp., Epidermophyton spp., Microsporum spp. The drug also has antibacterial activity against some Gram (+) bacteria. The product relieves inflammation of the vulva and vagina and inhibits the occurrence of vaginal discharge. The mechanism of action is the direct effect of the drug on the cell membrane of the fungus. Oxidative enzymes are inhibited, peroxide accumulation and fungal cell death. In addition, the drug inhibits the secretion of acidic proteinase by fungi. The drug substance is minimally absorbed into the bloodstream after vaginal administration.
Contraindications:
• Hypersensitivity to feticonazole or any of the ingredients
• Pregnancy and breast-feeding (only with the permission of the doctor)
Dosage of Antifungal cream, GYNOXIN vaginal cream 2% :
The drug should be introduced once, deeply, vaginally at bedtime - about 5 g of cream, that is, the entire content of the dispenser. If necessary, you can repeat the application the next morning. After entering, it is best to remain lying down. During treatment, sexual abstinence and the implementation of treatment are also recommended for the patient's partner.
