Arche Guar Gum

The plant-based thickener is obtained from small, approximately 5 mm large seeds of the guar plant. ARCHE organic guar gum is vegan, gluten-free and binds with and without cooking. The gluten-free binding agent is ideal for desserts, cold dishes and dips as well as for sauces, soups and gratins.
Preparation:
1/2 level teaspoon (2 g) of guar gum is enough for 150 ml of sauce, gratin stock, cold dips or dressings and for 200 ml of soup or cold dish. Works with or without cooking: Stir in guar gum through a fine sieve. Leave to swell for a few minutes in cold water or bring to the boil briefly.
Tip:
Gluten-free bread is lighter with guar gum (4 level teaspoons per 250 g flour) and stays fresh longer.
