Indication :
  • The preparation is a herbal medicine for colds of the respiratory tract.
  • The medicine is used to improve the symptoms of colds of the respiratory tract with viscous mucus and to improve the symptoms of acute bronchitis.
  • If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.
Dosage :
  • Always take this medicine exactly as described or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
  • The recommended dose is:
    • Adults and children over 12 years
      • 3 - 4 times daily 31 to a maximum of 61 drops
    • Children aged 11 - 12 years
      • 15 drops 3 times daily
    • Children aged 5 - 10 years
      • 10 drops 3 - 4 times daily
    • Children aged 2 - 4 years
      • 10 drops twice daily

 

  • Duration of application:
    • The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease and must be determined by the doctor if necessary.
    • However, please always observe the precautionary measures listed and the information under "Side Effects".
    • Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.

 

  • If you take more of this medicine than you should
    • There have been no known cases of poisoning with the drug. If too large quantities of the drug are taken, the symptoms described under "Side effects" may become more severe. In this case, please notify a doctor. He or she can decide on any necessary measures.

 

  • If you forget to take the medicine
    • Do not take double the amount of cough drops next time, but continue taking them as prescribed by your doctor or as described in the dosage instructions.

 

  • If you stop taking the medicine
    • Interrupting or prematurely ending treatment is generally harmless. If in doubt, ask your doctor.
    • If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Manner :
  • To take.
  • The medicine can be taken undiluted or in water. It can be taken with or without food.
Side effects :
  • Hypersensitivity reactions such as shortness of breath, skin rashes, hives and swelling of the face, mouth and/or throat may occur.
  • Stomach problems such as cramps, nausea and vomiting may also occur.
  • If side effects occur, the drug should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted. The doctor can determine the severity and any further measures that may be necessary.
  • At the first signs of a hypersensitivity reaction, the medicine must not be taken again.
  • In sensitized patients, menthol may trigger hypersensitivity reactions (including shortness of breath).
  • If you notice any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any side effects not listed.
Interactions :
  • Taking the preparation together with other medicines
    • No interactions with other medicines are known so far.
    • There are no studies available on possible interactions with other medicines administered at the same time.
    • Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or intend to take/use any other medicines.
  • Taking the medicine with food and drink
    • There are no special features to consider.
Contraindications :
  • The medicine must not be taken
    • if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to thyme or other Lamiaceae (mint family), birch, mugwort, celery, menthol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Pregnancy and breast feeding period :
  • Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking / using any medicine.
  • The medicine should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient studies.
Patient information :
  • Warnings and Precautions
    • If symptoms persist for more than one week or if shortness of breath, fever, or purulent or bloody sputum occur, a doctor must be consulted.
    • There are no adequate studies on the use of this medicine in children under 2 years of age. It should therefore not be used in children under 2 years of age.

 

  • Ability to drive and use machines
    • There are no special features to consider.
