Mode of action Baldurat ® has proven itself as a herbal remedy for mild nervous tension and sleep disorders. It is based on the dry extract from the valerian root. It is believed that numerous ingredients, such as lignans, have a positive effect on aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. This is not only an important messenger substance, but also a neurotransmitter that has calming properties and also helps to induce or maintain sleep. Even if the exact mode of action has not yet been clarified, experts assume that the ingredients of the valerian root dry extract interact with the amino acid and enhance its effect.

Thanks to the properties of valerian, Baldurat ® can be used for mild nervous tension and nervousness. On the other hand, it is in demand as a herbal sleep aid for people who have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. The advantage over chemical-synthetic drugs is that taking Baldurat ® does not lead to any habituation or hangover effects such as tiredness and exhaustion the next morning.
