use BASEN CITRATE Pur Test:

Tear off a test strip with dry fingers and collect fresh urine in a container. Dip the test strip in the urine for 1 second, then remove and shake off excess liquid. The strip changes color within 2 minutes depending on pH.
Compare the color of the test tire with the enclosed color chart. Read the value closest to the color of the test strip, the reading accuracy can vary between +/- 0.1 pH.
Used test strips can be disposed of with household waste.

Note:
Any discoloration will not affect the usability of unused test strips.
