Boron for testosterone

Research on the effects of boron on testosterone levels is inconsistent, with some studies suggesting it can increase testosterone levels, while others have found no effect:

Small study
A 2011 study of eight men found that taking 10 mg of boron daily for a week increased free testosterone and decreased estradiol.

Bodybuilder study
A 1993 study of 19 male bodybuilders found that taking 2.5 mg of boron for seven weeks had no effect on testosterone levels compared to a placebo.

Bodybuilder study 2
A study found that boron supplementation had no effect on testosterone levels in bodybuilders, even though bodybuilding itself can increase testosterone levels.

Boron is a dietary mineral that's often used for bone and joint health. It might increase testosterone levels as a byproduct of its anti-inflammatory effects.

boron benefits:

Boron is an element that may have several benefits, including:

Bone health: Boron plays a key role in bone health.

Vitamin and mineral metabolism: Boron helps the body metabolize key vitamins and minerals.

Estrogen and testosterone levels: Boron affects estrogen and testosterone levels.

Anti-inflammatory effects: Boron has anti-inflammatory effects that may help with arthritis and improve brain function.

Anticancer effects: Boronated compounds are used to treat several types of cancer.

Yeast infections: Boric acid, a common form of boron, can kill yeast that cause vaginal infections.

Boron is found naturally in leafy green vegetables, grains, prunes, raisins, noncitrus fruits, and nuts. A person's daily diet typically contains 1.5 to 3 milligrams (mg) of boron.

However, there is mixed or limited evidence for the benefits of boron. When choosing a supplement, look for third-party tested products and consult a healthcare provider.

Some precautions to take when taking boron include:
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Boron is likely safe to take during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Age: People aged 19–50 should not take more than 20 mg of boron daily, and people aged 14–18 should not take more than 17 mg daily.
Hormone-sensitive conditions: Boron might act like estrogen, so people with hormone-sensitive conditions like breast, uterine, or ovarian cancer should be cautious.
Kidney disease: People with kidney problems should not take boron supplements.
