Active ingredients

  • 12 mg bromhexine hydrochloride

Excipients

  • Water, purified
  • Mint oil
  • Citric acid
  • 700 mg propylene glycol
Indication :
  • The medicine is a bronchosecretolytic (medicine for loosening mucus in respiratory diseases with viscous mucus).
  • It is used for expectorant treatment in acute and chronic diseases of the bronchi and lungs with viscous mucus.
Dosage :
  • Always take this medicine exactly as described or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
  • dosage
    • The dosage is based on the information in the table below.
      • Adults and adolescents over 14 years
        • 16 - 33 drops 3 times daily (corresponding to 24 - 48 mg bromhexine hydrochloride daily)
      • Children and adolescents between 6 and 14 years of age and patients weighing less than 50 kg
        • 16 drops 3 times daily (equivalent to 24 mg bromhexine hydrochloride daily)
      • Children from 2 to 6 years
        • 8 drops 3 times daily (equivalent to 12 mg bromhexine hydrochloride daily)
    • In case of impaired renal function or severe liver disease, this medicine should be taken at longer intervals or in a reduced dose. Please ask your doctor about this.
  • Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

  • Duration of application
    • The duration of use depends on the type and severity of the disease and should be decided by the treating physician.
    • If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 4 - 5 days, you should consult a doctor.

 

  • If you take more than you should
    • In the event of an overdose, no symptoms of illness beyond the normal side effects are to be expected. If severe symptoms of illness occur, circulatory monitoring and, if necessary, treatment based on the symptoms may be necessary.
    • If a small child has swallowed a large amount, please contact the nearest available doctor.

 

  • If you forget to take it
    • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose. Continue taking the medicine as described in the dosage instructions.
