Composition:
1 effervescent tablet contains: active substances: Calcium lactogluconate 1.0 g, calcium carbonate 0.327 g, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 1.0 g - equivalent to 260 mg of ionized calcium. Auxiliary ingredients: Sodium saccharin; polyethylene glycol 4000; saccharose; sodium bicarbonate; anhydrous citric acid; beta-carotene; bitter aroma, French aroma "polvaromas"; lemon flavor "tetrarome".
Indications and action
Calcium is a basic mineral that helps maintain the body's electrolyte balance, necessary for its proper functioning. It is an important component of bone tissue and is necessary for its proper development, as well as for the proper functioning of nerves, muscles, heart, and proper blood clotting. Additionally, calcium also mediates the action of hormones and by reducing the permeability of blood vessel walls, it has an anti-swelling and anti-exudative effect. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) belongs to the group of water-soluble vitamins and plays an important role in biological processes. It takes part in oxidation and reduction processes and is essential in the production of collagen, cartilage, dentin, elastin, tissue reconstruction and body detoxification. Large doses of vitamin C up to 1 g per day are effective in the prevention and treatment of upper respiratory tract infections. Calcium and ascorbic acid deficiencies may be caused by improper nutrition or increased demand from the body. Indications for use: increased demand for calcium and vitamin C in: decreased body immunity; in the course of infectious diseases; during the recovery period; in the treatment of the consequences of calcium and vitamin C deficiencies; supporting the treatment of colds and flu; in people who smoke cigarettes.
Dosage
Dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water. Adults and children over 7 years of age: 1 effervescent tablet daily. Children aged 3 to 7 years: 0.5 effervescent tablet daily. Infants: as directed by your doctor.
Overdose
No cases of acute overdose with Calcium Sandoz + Vitamin C orange have been reported so far. Such an overdose could cause mild gastrointestinal disturbances. In case of accidental overdose while taking high doses of vitamin D, drink plenty of water and consult a doctor.
Contraindications
Calcium Sandoz + Vitamin C orange should not be taken by people who are allergic to any of its ingredients (the list of ingredients is given in this leaflet in the composition section), people with urinary tract oxalate urolithiasis, sideroblastic anemia, hemochromatosis and congenital deficiency of blood cell dehydrogenase - G-6 -P. As well as people with hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood), with hypercalcuria (high levels of calcium in the urine) and people with severe kidney failure. Recommended precautions: in case of mild hypercalcuria (too much calcium in urine), accompanied by slight or moderate impairment of kidney function, or if there was a history of stone formation in the urinary tract - the level of calcium excreted in urine should be monitored and it is recommended to increase the amount of calcium taken fluids. If necessary, the dose of the drug can be reduced or discontinued. It is not recommended to administer vitamins. C patients undergoing radio- and/or chemotherapy. A daily dose of ascorbic acid above 1 g may falsify the results of analyzes in blood and urine based on oxidation and reduction reactions. Calcium Sandoz + Vitamin C orange contains citric acid, so the preparation should not be used by patients with severe renal impairment, especially if they receive preparations containing aluminum. Diabetes patients should take into account that one tablet of Calcium Sandoz + Vitamin C orange contains 2.0 g of sugar. Patients requiring a low-sodium diet must take into account that the sodium content in one effervescent tablet of the drug is 0.27 g. The drug should be kept out of the reach of children. Use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding: Calcium Sandoz + Vitamin C orange may be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding only after consulting a doctor. The effect of the drug on the ability to drive vehicles, operate machinery and psychophysical performance: Calcium Sandoz + Vitamin C orange does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery.
