CANESPOR is a topical medication that effectively relieves symptoms of fungal skin infections within 2-4 weeks. CANESPOR fights different kinds of fungi, eg Malassezia furfur.
1 g cream contains 10 mg bifonazole (Bifonazolum).
Action CANESPOR: The CANESPOR cream works on the basis of bifonazole, which exhibits fungicidal properties. This is due to the retention of ergosterol synthesis at two different levels, which distinguishes it from imidazole derivatives and other antifungal agents, acting on only one level. As a result of the retention of ergosterol synthesis, structural and functional cytoplasmic membrane failure occurs. The active substance is a derivative of imidazole with a broad range of antifungal action. CANESPOR fungicidal action includes dermatophytes, yeasts, molds and other fungi, such as Malassezia furfur or Corynebacterium minutissimum.
