Celadrin dietary supplement contains cetyl myristooleate, cetyl myristate, cetyl palmitoylate, cetyl laurate, cetyl palmitate and cetyl oleate, i.e. esterified fatty acids. The esterification process consists in stabilizing fatty acids with alcohol, in this particular case cetyl alcohol is used, which allows to obtain stable and oxygen-free fatty acids. The molecular complex of various fatty acids has the ability to penetrate cell membranes, which in turn improves their condition and integrity, and also facilitates the transmission of signals between them. The production of prostaglandins, inflammatory compounds is then reduced, and the product may also reduce the production of immunological factors (e.g. IL-6). According to the latest research, Celadrin has the ability to block the COX-2 enzyme. This enzyme is involved in the conversion of arachidonic acid to post-inflammatory prostaglandins. During clinical trials Celadrin has been shown to influence the modulation of the inflammatory process in diseases such as arthritis and indicates its beneficial effects in ailments such as headaches, injuries, strains, contusions or tearing of ligaments.
