Description:
The gray hairy cistus (Cistus incanus) is a tea plant native to the Mediterranean region that contains valuable polyphenols. Cistus tea has a long tradition, especially in Greece, but has been forgotten over time. In 1999, Cistus incanus was voted "Plant of the Year" and thus rediscovered. Cistus herb are the leaves of the shrub from which the valuable labdanum is obtained. Labdanum was dedicated to the goddess of love Aphrodite in Cyprus. Organic Cistus tea has a pleasant, tart, aromatic taste. It can be drunk as an everyday tea every day, even in the evening and to quench thirst.

CISTUS INCANUS organic tea recommendation:

Cistus herb for making tea.

Tea infusion:
Traditional preparation: boil a handful of herbs (approx. 10 g) with approx. 200 ml water for 5 minutes. Then allow to cool and strain through a tea strainer. The brew can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 days.

Pleasure tea Preparation: Prepare
Cistus like black tea, but do not let steep for longer than 5 minutes, otherwise the tea will become bitter.
