- The preparation is a medicine used to treat fungal infections of the vagina. The active ingredient clotrimazole inhibits the growth and reproduction of fungal cells such. B. Fungi (yeasts) and a number of other fungi and some bacteria.

- Discharge caused by fungi (mostly candida).
- Inflammation of the vagina from fungus.
- Superinfections with clotrimazole-sensitive bacteria.

- Always use the medicine exactly as directed in the leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is
- Once a day in the evening for 3 consecutive days, 1 vaginal tablet is inserted as deep as possible into the vagina.

Duration of application
- In general, a 3-day treatment is sufficient for vaginal inflammation, particularly caused by fungus. If necessary, a second treatment over 3 days can be carried out.
- The signs of a vaginal infection caused by fungus (such as itching, discharge, burning) generally decrease significantly within the first 4 days after starting treatment. If the symptoms do not improve significantly after 4 days, please contact your doctor.
- Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of the preparation is too strong or too weak.

- If you forget to use it in the evening, you can do it the following morning.

If you cancel the application
- In order for the infection to heal completely and to prevent a relapse, you should not end or interrupt treatment prematurely if possible. If you do this anyway, you have to fear that the symptoms will return, as your fungal infection has probably not yet healed properly.
- The treatment should not be stopped after the symptoms have subsided, but should be continued consistently for 3 days (as described under "Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the usual dose is described").

- The vaginal tablets are inserted as deep as possible into the vagina with the help of the applicator. This is best done in the supine position with the legs slightly drawn up.
- If treatment during pregnancy is required on the instructions of the doctor, it should be carried out without an applicator. Please wash your hands thoroughly before inserting the vaginal tablets into the vagina.
- The treatment should expediently not be carried out during menstruation or should be completed before it begins.

Note:
- If the vagina is dry, the vaginal tablet may not dissolve completely. This can be seen from the fact that solid chunks are excreted, which z. B. found in underwear. In this case, treatment should be carried out with vaginal cream.

Application of the vaginal tablets with an applicator
- 1. The plunger of the applicator is pulled out as far as it will go. The vaginal tablet is removed from the press-through pack and pushed into the applicator.
- 2. Lie on your back and carefully insert the applicator as deep as possible into the vagina. Pressing the plunger releases the vaginal tablet.
- 3. The applicator is intended for repeated use. It must therefore be carefully cleaned under running warm (not boiling) water after each use. The plunger is pulled out of the applicator past the stop and both parts are cleaned. Dry them with a clean cloth and reassemble the applicator.

- The vaginal tablet is carefully inserted as deep as possible into the vagina with a clean finger.

When used with other drugs
- Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking / using or have recently taken / used any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
- Clotrimazole reduces the effectiveness of amphotericin and other polyene antibiotics (nystatin, natamycin).

- If the labia minora and adjacent areas are infected at the same time, or if the partner's glans and foreskin has been diagnosed with inflammation due to fungi, the partners should receive additional local treatment using the dosage forms of clotrimazole provided for this purpose.
