COFFEPIRINE neuralgia, toothache Composition of:
1 tabl. contains 450 mg acetylsalicylic acid and 50 mg caffeine.

COFFEPIRINE neuralgia, toothache Action:
The acetylsalicylic acid contained in the preparation works mainly by inhibiting the release and biosynthesis of prostaglandins, analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory. Reduces platelet aggregation by blocking the release of adenosine diphosphoric acid and thromboxane A2 from platelets. At doses above 1 g per day, it reduces blood clotting and has a fibrinolytic effect. Antipyretic and diaphoretic effect is strongly marked already at doses of 1-1.5 g / day (especially at elevated body temperature), anti-inflammatory effect is clearly marked after a few days of intake. It is absorbed quickly and almost completely from the digestive tract - mainly from the stomach, to a lesser extent from the intestines. The rate of absorption depends on the pH of the content. It binds to plasma albumin in 50-90%. It easily penetrates into the tissues and across the placental barrier and into breast milk. It is metabolized in the liver (mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum) and in other tissues. It is excreted in 10% in the urine in unchanged form and in the form of metabolites (in 75% as salicyluric acid). T0.5 is 2-4 hours. Systematically used during pregnancy in the third trimester or for a long time - it has a negative effect on the fetus; during lactation - may cause metabolic acidosis in the fed infant (doses above 3 g / day in the mother). The caffeine contained in the preparation is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, is metabolized in the liver, metabolites are excreted in the urine. It can have a stimulating effect on vegetative centers: respiratory, vasomotor and vagus nerve, endure tiredness.
