Vitamin B12 acts as a cofactor of enzymes in the mitochondria and is involved in important metabolic reactions. A lack of vitamin B12 - caused e.g. due to insufficient supply or malabsorption (absorption disruption) - leads to disruption of erythropoiesis (formation of erythrocytes/blood formation). However, the parenteral use of vitamin B12 has proven itself not only in pernicious anemia, the classic B12 deficiency disease, but also in polyneuropathies and mental disorders.

Especially in the context of a naturopathic regeneration and vitality treatment with the Wiedemann homeocomplex preparations, vitamin B12 Wiedemann has proven to be an additional "energy supplier".
