Avoid vitamin D deficiency with Dekristol ® 400 IU tablets
Vitamin D influences numerous processes in the body: The vitamin with a key function has a regulating effect on the immune system, ensures strong bones and healthy teeth, supports muscle work and is involved in cell division. Vitamin D significantly improves the absorption of calcium, which is required for many body functions.

The majority of Germans, however, do not have a sufficient supply of vitamin D, and the deficiency extends to all age groups. Dekristol ®400 IU tablets effectively prevent bone pain and deformation, even for the youngest. In children and infants, there is talk of rickets, a softening and deformation of the bones. In adults, this condition is known as osteomalacia. Dekristol ® also supports the treatment of osteoporosis (bone loss ) in adults .

Dekristol ® 400 IU tablets - for a sufficiently high vitamin D level in the blood

  • Ease of use with a very rapid disintegration of the drug

RECOMMENDED USE
For the prevention of bone pain and deformations and for the supportive treatment of osteoporosis, Dekristol ® 400 IU tablets should be taken once or twice a day with meals, depending on the age of the patient. To make it easier to use with babies and toddlers, the tablets can simply be disintegrated in a little milk or water.

These symptoms indicate a vitamin D deficiency.
In addition to bone pain and deformity, the possible effects of a vitamin D deficiency include muscle pain. In addition, an increased susceptibility to infections is discussed.
Dekristol ®400 IU tablets can help prevent a deficiency and meet your daily vitamin D requirements. The intake of vitamin D through food is usually quite low, and in our part of the world there is often insufficient contact with the sun's rays.

Rickets in Infants and Children
The most common cause of rickets, a disorder of the growing bones, is a lack of vitamin D. Symptoms in the skeleton can be, for example, a curvature of the spine and a peculiar skull shape. Furthermore, muscle weakness, muscle cramps and tooth enamel defects are possible. Dekristol ® 400 IU tablets prevent rickets with just one tablet a day, even in premature babies. Premature babies with a birth weight of less than 1500 g receive two Dekristol tablets® 400 IU daily.

Osteomalacia in Adults
Osteomalacia, a disorder of bone metabolism, can result from a vitamin D deficiency. The main symptom is general persistent bone pain, which is not infrequently misinterpreted as rheumatic complaints. Typically, osteomalacia occurs in the area of the chest, spine, pelvic symphysis, and thigh.

osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is a generalized disease of the bone that is characterized by a decrease in bone density. The bone loss makes it more prone to fractures. So-called primary osteoporosis usually occurs in old age for no apparent cause, especially in women after the menopause. Vitamin D and calcium are part of the basic therapy in the treatment.
