Detritin 4000IU x 60 film-coated tablets, vitamin D deficiency, cholecalciferol deficiency
Detritin 4000IU is a drug with a high dose of cholecalciferol intended for use in the prevention of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from cholecalciferol deficiency. The drug is indicated for adults with obesity.
Composition of Detritin 4000IU:
Active substance: cholecalciferol (Cholecalciferolum). Each film-coated tablet contains 40 mg of cholecalciferol (as a powder with the composition - cholecalciferol, sodium ascorbate, all-rac-alpha-tocopherol, modified maize starch, sucrose, triglycerides of medium chain fatty acids, anhydrous colloidal silica), corresponding to 0.100 mg ( 4000IU) cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) and excipients: tablet core - microcrystalline cellulose (Type 102), croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate; tablet coating - AquaPolish®P white 014.95 MS, hypromellose 15 mPa.s, hypromellose 6 mPa.s, titanium dioxide (E 171), talc, medium chain fatty acid triglycerides, hydroxypropylcellulose 100 mPaꞏs.
Operation of Detritin 4000IU:
One tablet of Detritin 4000IU contains as much as 100mcg of cholecalciferol, i.e. vitamin D3. It is an active substance that participates in many metabolic processes. Its deficiency has a negative impact on both health and the body's efficiency. Vitamin D3 supports the metabolism of calcium and phosphorus. In addition, it contributes to the maintenance of an appropriate level of bone mineralization. The indication for the use of the drug is the prevention of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency in obese adults.
Application:
Detritin 4000IU is indicated for the prophylaxis of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency in obese adults - body mass index (BMI)> 30.
Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. Consult your doctor before taking the drug in the following cases, if you suffer from alleged hypoparathyroidism; the patient has sarcoidosis; the patient is immobilized and has osteoporosis; you are taking other products containing vitamin D; you have kidney problems; the patient is treated with cardiac glycosides or diuretics; treatment with vitamin D is long-term (over 3 months) - monitoring of calcium levels in serum and urine is required, as well as checking renal function with determination of blood creatinine level. In the case of long-term use, serum calcium levels should be monitored. urinary calcium excretion and kidney function by measuring serum creatinine levels (mainly in elderly people and people taking concomitant cardiac glycosides or diuretics, and in people with hyperphosphataemia (increased levels of phosphate in the blood), as well as in people with increased risk of kidney stones). Symptoms indicating excess vitamin D in the body: malaise, dementia and weakness, hyperactivity, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, constipation, excessive thirst, increased urination, headache in the eyes and skin, itching of the skin. If such symptoms occur, please consult your doctor. In people with severe renal insufficiency, vitamin D in the form of colecalciferol is not properly metabolized and other vitamin D derivatives should be used. Do not use the drug in patients with impaired renal function without medical supervision. Use under 18 years of age: do not use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age - lower strength vitamin D derivatives are recommended. Do not use simultaneously with other drugs, dietary supplements and foodstuffs with vitamin D without medical supervision. Use of the drug: with antacids containing aluminum may increase the concentration of aluminum in the blood; with antacids containing magnesium, may increase the amount of magnesium in the blood. Some medicines with anti-epileptic, sedative or hypnotic properties (containing phenytoin or barbiturates) may make Detritin less effective. Certain diuretics can lead to hypercalcaemia. Simultaneous administration of glucocorticosteroids may counteract the effect of Detritin. Detritin may increase the effect and toxicity of digitalis glycosides, and thus puts you at risk of developing cardiac arrhythmias. It should not be taken simultaneously with calcitonin, etidronate and pamidronate. Caution should be exercised with the use of drugs such as rifampicin and isoniazid, actinomycin and imidazole antifungals. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: the drug is contraindicated. The drug contains sucrose - the possibility of using the drug in people with intolerance to certain sugars should be discussed with your doctor. This medicine contains sodium - less than 1mmol (23mg) of sodium per tablet, so it is essentially 'sodium-free'. Do not use in people with diseases and / or conditions leading to hypercalcemia and / or hypercalciuria. Do not use in the case of nephrolithiasis.
