Difortan etofenamate gel 50g

  • Etofenamate, the active substance contained in the Difortan gel, is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It has a local analgesic effect and reduces swelling and inflammation.

Composition Difortan, etofenamate gel :

Active substance: etofenamate. Excipients: isopropyl alcohol, glycerol, trolamine, carbomers and purified water.

Difortan, etofenamate gel  action:

Preparation for the local treatment of muscle and joint injuries and rheumatic diseases. A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, or etofenamate, acts as an analgesic and also limits swelling and inflammation. Difortan gel is intended for topical use.

Application:
Difortan gel indicated for use in the treatment of muscle and joint injuries (contusions, sprains, strains, ligaments) as well as rheumatic diseases (arthritis, osteoarthritis). The drug for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Additional information:
Keep out of reach of children at room temperature. Protect against direct moisture and light. Before using the medication in a breastfeeding woman, it is recommended that you consult your doctor first.

Contraindications:
Do not use in the case of hypersensitivity to any component of the gel. Do not use on mucous membranes and near the eyes, on damaged or infected skin, on skin with wounds and eczema. Do not use in pregnant women and children under 12 years of age.

Side effects: Adverse reactions
may occur when using the gel. If you have such symptoms as: hypersensitivity in the form of skin rash, shortness of breath and difficulty swallowing; bullous lesions (extensive changes on the skin in the form of redness, scaling, large blisters); photodermatosis (inflammation in the form of redness and pruritus on the skin at the gel application site, which has been exposed to the sun). Side effects according to the frequency of their occurrence: often - pruritus, erythema, local skin irritation (transient after treatment); rarely - contact dermatitis, allergic dermatitis, photodermatosis; very rarely - urticaria, bladder changes, toxic necrotic decay of the epidermis.

Dosage of Difortan, etofenamate gel:

For external use. Use as directed by your doctor or the instructions on the leaflet. Each time before and after using the gel, wash your hands thoroughly. Apply in the place of pain. It is recommended to use a 2.5-5 cm gel strip at a time. Spread the preparation, rubbing it gently. Treatment of muscle and joint injuries: use 3-4 times a day for 14 days. Do not use for more than 14 days. Treatment of rheumatic diseases: apply 2-3 times a day. Do not use for more than 21 days. Pain reduction and reduction should be visible after 3-4 days of application. Consult your doctor if no improvement is observed after 7 days of use or the symptoms have worsened. In patients with impaired renal or liver function, it is recommended to consult a doctor before using the medicine,
