DMSO means dimethyl sulfoxide is an organic solvent obtained from tree wood. When pure, it is almost odorless and has a slightly oily consistency. It mixes very well with water. At temperatures below 18°C it crystallizes because its melting point is 18°C. At warmer temperatures, this process reverses and the DMSO becomes liquid again.

At low temperatures (<18°C) DMSO crystallizes. At higher temperatures it can be liquefied again. Do not heat in the microwave. Reacts with plastic.
