Composition: 100 g cream contain: Active medicinal ingredient: 1 g phenol-methanal-urea polycondensate, sulfonated, sodium salt (synthetic tanning agent).
Excipients: Purified Water; isopropyl myristate (Ph.Eur.); alpha-octadecyl-omega-(stearoyloxy)poly(oxyethylene)-5; propylene glycol; cetyl alcohol (Ph. Eur.); palmitic acid; 2-[2-(octadecyloxy)ethoxy]ethanol; alpha-dodecyl-omega-hydroxypoly(oxyethylene)-10; phenoxyethanol (Ph.Eur.); stearic acid (Ph. Areas of application: Adjuvant for dermatoses with inflammation, weeping and itching.
Contraindications: Allergy to any of the ingredients. Do not use on the eye.
Warnings: Cetyl alcohol and propylene glycol may cause localized skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis).
Side effects: Rare: contact dermatitis. Very rare: Slight skin irritation (burning, redness, itching).

Our top layer of skin is a natural barrier that protects against external influences and regulates the moisture balance. If it gets out of balance, the skin can no longer fulfill its important protective function, becomes susceptible to harmful germs and prone to inflammation, which can manifest itself as redness, weeping skin and itching.
Tannosynt cream has proven itself for the treatment of inflammatory, weeping and itchy skin conditions. The contained synthetic tanning agent Tamol covers the diseased skin like a protective film and is able to reduce the loss of fluids. The top layer of skin is tightened and sealed, making it more difficult for germs to establish themselves and spread further. This reduces inflammation and itching. The cortisone-free cream is very well tolerated and even suitable for use in small children.

Tanning agents are among the oldest known remedies for numerous skin diseases. Tannosynt Cream contains Tamol, an artificially produced tanning agent that is based on natural tanning agents, but is better tolerated and can be dosed. The drug has a germ-inhibiting and healing-promoting effect. Tormenting itching and other skin irritations are noticeably relieved. Due to the anti-inflammatory and drying effect on weeping skin, Tannosynt preparations have also been used in pediatrics for sore baby buttocks, eczema and neurodermatitis for many years.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR APPLICATION:
Tannosynt cream is intended for external use only! Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the cream is applied thinly to the affected areas of skin once or twice a day until healing has taken place. When applying, make sure that the cream does not come into contact with the eyes and always keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
ECZEMA IN CHILDREN With lip licking and other facial eczema, the skin reacts with redness and itching, feels rough and dry. The slightly moisturizing Tannosynt cream provides the skin with oil and moisture, noticeably relieves itching and at the same time strengthens the skin barrier.
NEURODERMATIS
Atopic dermatitis progresses in phases and is usually accompanied by severe itching. In acute phases and when the inflammation subsides, Tannosynt cream is suitable for supportive treatment. The itching is relieved, at the same time the skin is supplied with fat and moisture.
HEMORRHOIDS Haemorrhoids in the anus are usually accompanied by pain, severe burning and agonizing itching. Sitz baths with Tannosynt liquid have a beneficial effect, and the external application of Tannosynt cream can also help alleviate the symptoms.

Tannosynt Cream can already be used on babies and small children to treat facial and skin eczema and as a supportive therapy for neurodermatitis. Please discuss with the treating pediatrician whether the drug is suitable for your child's skin disease and how the preparation should be used.
What side effects can treatment with Tannosynt cream cause?
Tannosynt is generally considered to be very well tolerated by the skin. Like all medicines, this preparation can also lead to side effects, which, however, do not necessarily occur in every patient. In rare cases, the active substance tamol or other ingredients in Tannosynt can cause hypersensitivity reactions of the skin, in very rare cases redness, burning or itching can occur. If side effects occur, treatment with Tannosynt should be stopped immediately and a doctor consulted.
Is Tannosynt also suitable for hyperhidrosis?
Synthetic tanning agents, such as those contained in Tannosynt preparations, not only have an anti-inflammatory and soothing effect, but also have an anti-sweat effect and are therefore helpful in the treatment of hyperhidrosis, the excessive secretion of sweat. Partial or full baths with Tannosynt liquid are particularly recommended.
Can Tannysynt cream be used if there is a contact allergy to nickel?
In the case of allergic contact dermatitis, it is particularly important that you consistently avoid the triggering substance. If you suffer from a weeping rash, moist compresses or partial baths with Tannosynt liquid are recommended. They have an anti-inflammatory and drying effect while relieving itching.
If the skin is still dry, scaly and slightly inflamed after the weeping skin areas have healed, Tannosynt cream is suitable as basic care.
Does health insurance cover the cost of Tannosynt?
Yes, all Tannosynt preparations can be prescribed and reimbursed for children up to the age of 12 on prescription. In exceptional cases, this also applies to young people up to the age of 18.
