It is metabolized in the liver and kidneys to inactive metabolites (deschlorobenzoylindometacin, demethylindometacin). T 0.5is 3-4 hours. It is excreted in 10-20% in the unchanged form and as inactive urine metabolites (about 66%), the remaining part of the faeces in unchanged form.
