How does EnvioLife ® Belly Comfort* work?
A healthy intestinal flora consists of many bacteria that support our digestion, but also the human metabolism. Lactic acid bacteria in particular are considered the body's protective police. With Their namesake lactic acid and other short-chain fatty acids can acidify the intestinal environment and literally “make life sour” for many unwanted germs. EnvioLife ® Belly Comfort* contains 11 strains of lactic acid bacteria, which are components of natural intestinal flora and together provide 20 billion colony-forming units (CFU).
Ingredients:
lactic acid bacteria, coating agents: hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, maltodextrin, anti-caking agents: magnesium salts of fatty acids, inulin, biotin.
LACTIC ACID BACTERIA:
Lactic acid bacteria are Gram-positive bacteria that break down carbohydrates without oxygen (anaerobic) into lactic acid (lactic acid fermentation). Some bacterial species and strains only produce lactic acid (such as Lactobacillus or Streptococcus), some also produce other products (e.g. Bifidobacterium).
While many lactobacilli tolerate oxygen and therefore live predominantly in the small intestine, the anaerobic bifidobacteria colonize the large intestine and break down fiber there.
INULIN:
Inulin is a carbohydrate and is one of the fructans. It is a natural, water-soluble fiber that can be found, for example, in artichokes, chicory, Jerusalem artichokes and onions. Human digestive enzymes cannot break down inulin. Therefore, it reaches the large intestine and feeds beneficial intestinal bacteria, especially bifidobacteria. Inulin is therefore one of the prebiotics. When the bacteria break down inulin, they produce short-chain fatty acids that acidify the intestinal environment and have other effects. The short-chain fatty acid propionic acid (propionate) can strengthen the feeling of satiety and improve insulin sensitivity. BIOTIN: Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin from the B vitamin group. It is contained in many foods, but usually only in very small amounts. The vitamin biotin is important for the metabolism of the body's cells. Very active tissues such as the intestinal mucosa, which regenerates every few days, need biotin so that cell division processes can take place in a controlled manner.
RECOMMENDED USE:
