- The preparation is a herbal medicinal product for use as an expectorant in productive cough.
Expectorant cough, BRONCHOFIT ivy cough syrup dosage
- Always take this medicine exactly as described or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- The recommended dose for adults is 1.8 ml 3 times a day (equivalent to 306 mg of ivy leaves per day).

Use in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age
- The recommended dose is 1.8 ml 3 times a day (equivalent to 306 mg of ivy leaves per day).

Use in children between 5 and 11 years
- The recommended dose is 1.8 ml once or twice a day (equivalent to 102-204 mg of ivy leaves per day).

Use in children between 1 and 4 years
- The recommended dose is 1 ml twice a day (equivalent to 113 mg of ivy leaves per day).

Use in patients with impaired liver and kidney function
- There is insufficient data for specific dosage recommendations in the case of impaired liver and/or kidney function.

Warnings and Precautions
- Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine.
- A doctor should be consulted in the event of fever, shortness of breath, purulent or bloody sputum, as well as complaints that last longer than a week or unclear symptoms. The drug should not be taken together with cough suppressants such as B. codeine or dextromethorphan applied.
- Patients with inflammation of the gastric mucosa (gastritis) or stomach ulcers require particular caution when taking it, since ivy preparations can cause irritation of the gastric mucosa.

- In children 1-4 years of age, repeated or persistent coughing should be diagnosed by a doctor prior to treatment.
