Flegamina Composition:
5ml syrup contains the active substance: bromhexine hydrochloride - 4mg and auxiliary substances: citric acid monohydrate, glucose monohydrate, glycerol, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, cochineal, raspberry flavor, 96% ethanol, purified water.
Action Flegamina:
Expectorant drug in the form of raspberry syrup. It is a mucolytic preparation, it helps to thin the secretions in the respiratory tract and accelerates its removal. The active substance is bromhexine, which increases mucus secretion, while reducing its viscosity, which liquefies the residual secretion. The syrup helps to clean the airways, soothes, facilitates expectoration without disturbing the natural cough reflex.
Flegamina Application:
Syrup Phlegamine 4mg / 5ml raspberry syrup is a drug for acute and chronic respiratory diseases, which are associated with expectoration and mucus removal.
Additional information Flegamina: This medicine contains alcohol. Caution is advised in patients with gastric and duodenal ulcers and in cases of severe liver or kidney problems. Due to the possibility of headache, dizziness and somnolence, it may affect the ability to drive and use machines.
Flegamina Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to bromohexine or any substance contained in the drug; intolerance to some sugars. Do not use in children under 7 years of age, due to the alcohol content, it is not recommended to use in the first trimester of pregnancy and during lactation (before any use is necessary medical consultation).
Side effects:
When taking the drug, especially long-term, the following side effects may occur: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, decrease in blood pressure, drowsiness, headache and dizziness and transient increase in transaminases (liver enzymes) in the blood serum. Allergic reactions may occur rarely: rash, pruritus and severe allergic reactions such as anaphylactic reactions, bronchospasm, angioedema (severe allergic reaction which causes swelling of the face or throat which may cause difficulty in breathing).
Dosage:
For oral use. Children from 7 to 12 years of age: administer 5 ml of syrup (1 measuring spoon) 3 times a day. Adults and children over 12 years of age: take 10ml syrup (2 measuring spoons) 3 times a day. Do not consume the drug immediately before bedtime.
