Worth knowing about Chlorella vulgarisMicroalgae are among the oldest organisms on earth. The small aquatic plants began more than 2.5 billion years ago to enable higher life with their photosynthetic capacity. In many cultures, microalgae have been and are being used as a dietary supplement for thousands of years because of their positive properties. For example, B. already Aztecs and Mayas their food with this valuable biomass. Today it has become a very valuable and rich dietary supplement, especially for people who eat consciously, due to its numerous and high-quality ingredients, which it also offers in a particularly highly concentrated form. This is documented in over 2000 publications and studies. Science today knows more than 40,000 species of microalgae. For FORTE de mar ®the particularly robust freshwater algae Chlorella vulgaris is cultivated.
Advantages of producing Chlorella vulgaris quality algae in the Altmark:
FORTE de mar ® Chlorella vulgaris biomass, FORTE DE MAR chlorella vulgaris microalgae, amino acids, chlorophyll, detox is produced in a closed glass tube system. Contamination with blue-green algae can therefore not take place. Nevertheless, regular microscopic checks are carried out by our own and external laboratories and the products are tested for blue-green algae toxins. In this way we can for FORTE de mar ® Chlorella vulgaris microalgae
Rule out contamination with blue-green algae and their toxins.
Microalgae are usually cultivated in so-called aquacultures. In these open systems (pond cultures in Southeast Asia and the USA) undesirable accompanying flora,
eg blue-green algae cannot always be ruled out. Many blue-green algae are known toxin producers.
Regular consumption of such contaminated products can damage organs (especially the liver). Blue-green algae can be detected directly by checking the products under a microscope and/or by detecting the corresponding toxins (e.g. microcystin).
The microscopic detection or the positive test of blue-green algae contamination in a competitor's chlorella microalgae preparation, which was manufactured in China and sold throughout Europe with the packaging declaration "100% chlorella from ecological aquaculture" revealed a significant blue-green algae contamination in this Chlorella vulgaris -Sample.
Microcystins in these algae products were detected using MALDI-TOF.
Unfortunately, these tests are not carried out by most providers for cost reasons. FORTE de mar ® Chlorella vulgaris biomass is produced in a closed glass tube system. Contamination with blue-green algae can therefore not take place. Nevertheless, microscopic checks are carried out regularly and the products are tested for blue-green algae toxins. The detection limit is 0.4 mg/kg.

According to the analytical tests required by law, residues of pesticides (organochlorine pesticides, halogen-containing fungicides, polychlorinated biphenyls, nitrogenous herbicides,
pyrenthroids and organophosphorus / organonitrogen pesticides) cannot be detected. (Detection limit 0.005 mg / kg or 0.001 mg / kg for halogen-containing fungicides) Aflatoxins (B1 / B2 / G1 / G2) are not detectable.
(Detection limit 0.1μg / kg). The microbiological status meets the relevant guidelines of the LMBG.
