Intolerance to fructose?
Millions of people suffer from food intolerance - according to the German Nutrition Society, almost a third of Germans are affected by fructose malabsorption and cannot absorb fructose properly. 

The consequences can be abdominal pain, nausea and impaired bowel function. In the case of fructose malabsorption, yogurt with fruit and honey or a glass of orange juice are usually not a good idea. Because due to a malfunction of the transport protein GLUT-5 in the mucous membrane of the small intestine, fructose cannot be properly absorbed. Instead, it travels undigested to the large intestine, where it is broken down by bacteria. This creates gases that can lead to discomfort.

To prevent or relieve symptoms caused by fructose malabsorption, FRUCTOSiN ^® used by STADA:

• One or two capsules of FRUCTOSiN ^® should be taken with a little water before a meal containing fructose.
• The product contains the enzyme xylose isomerase. This can convert approx. 6.2 g of fructose per capsule into better usable glucose.
