What is Gencydo® and what is it used for?
Gencydo® is an anthroposophic medicine for allergic diseases.

According to the anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, the areas of application include the treatment and prevention of allergic diseases, especially of the airways, e.g. hay fever.

How should Gencydo® be used?
Always use Gencydo® exactly as your doctor has told you.

The injection solutions are either injected subcutaneously or inhaled.

Inhalation treatment and the selection of a suitable nebulizer should only be carried out after consulting a doctor.

Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is:

Injection treatment : Preventive phase: inject 1 ml subcutaneously once or twice a week, treatment phase: inject 1 ml subcutaneously up to once a day.

The preventive treatment is started as early as January or February if possible. 1 ml of the lowest concentration given in the table is injected subcutaneously once or twice a week.

When the symptoms of the disease set in, the higher concentrations are used and the frequency of use is increased up to once a day.

The subcutaneous injection is preferably carried out in the neck area or the outside of the upper arm. After cleaning the puncture site (e.g. by rubbing it with 70% alcohol), form a skin fold and insert the injection needle at an angle. Pull back the plunger slightly. If blood
appears, a blood vessel has been hit. In this case, repeat the injection at a different site.

If no blood appears, inject slowly, then pull out the needle and briefly press the puncture site with a swab.

It is always recommended to learn the injection technique from someone who is experienced in it.

Inhalation treatment: Inhalation treatment is carried out with the help of a nebulizer. 1-2 ml injection solution are used for inhalation 1-2 times a day. According to the device manufacturer and the attending physician, the injection solution can be diluted in a ratio of 1: 1 to 1: 2 with sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution.

In children up to 10 years of age, inhalation treatment should be used instead of injection treatment. Let the child inhale as many breaths as it is years old. In the acute stage, inhalation can also be used in addition to injection for school children from the age of 10 and for adults.

The duration of the usage will be decided by the medicating doctor. In order to achieve a significant reduction in the symptoms of the disease, it is necessary to consistently carry out treatment with Gencydo® preparations over a period of several years.

1 ampoule contains: Active ingredients: 0.8 - 1.2 mg corresponding to 0.065 mg fruit acids, calculated as citric acid
